MISSION APPEAL
On this coming weekend, 18th/19th November the Annual Mission Appeal will take place in our Parish, by the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Assumption.
The Little Sisters of the Assumption in Blackpool, Cork City have been working in our Diocese since 1899, 124 years.
They would greatly appreciate any support you can give to their missionary work among some of the poorest people of today’s world, particularly in Latin America and Africa.

PARISH ASSEMBLY
The formation training for the new Parish Assembly continues with the third and final session on Tuesday next, 14th November at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre.
It is being facilitated by Ms. Lorraine Buckley and Ms. Eilís Casey of the Cork and Ross Mission and Ministry office.
We thank all who are taking part and please remember them in your prayer in this preparation.

TEA DANCE
The Ovens/Farran Active Circle Tea Dance takes place on Sunday next, 19th November in the Éire Óg Pavilion.
Time: 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
Music: By Kevin and John.
Cost: €10 including the raffle.

A WORKSHOP FOR MINISTERS OF THE WORD
Called to proclaim your Word O Lord.
The Workshop for Ministers of the Word will be held in the Sacred Heart Church Hall, Western Road, Cork on Saturday, 25th November.

Time: 10am to 12.30pm.
This Workshop will focus on:
Celebrating the Sunday of the Word of God on 21st January.
The dignity & significance of the Ministry of the Word.
The structure of the Liturgy of the Word.
An introduction to the Gospel of Mark in preparation for the Year of Mark (Year B).
The workshop is free of charge, donations to help defray expenses would be appreciated. Booking is essential.

SCIATH NA SCOL
Congratulations to both boy’s and girl’s football teams of Scoil Mhuire Farran on their great performances in their finals on Thursday last. The boys won their match after extra time & the girls lost in a very close game. Well done to all involved.
Every good luck to the Scoil na hUamhanna Ovens boy’s team in their final on this Weds, 15th November at 11am.
