PARISH ASSEMBLY MEETING
The February Meeting of the Ovens/Farran Parish Assembly on this Monday, 20th February at 8pm in the Parish Centre.

LENT 2023
Lent begins on this Wednesday, 22nd February, Ash Wednesday.
Ashes will be blessed and distributed at our Masses on that day. It is the beginning of the Season of Lent, which challenges us to live better lives. This, of course, depends on the choices we make. It is a time we can use well or leave it pass us by. It is a time also when we prepare to celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus in Holy Week.

REFLECTION
The choices contained in this Reflection might both challenge and guide us:
We can…….
Choose to Love, rather than hate.
Choose to build, rather than destroy.
Choose to praise, rather than gossip.
Choose to give, rather than grasp.
Choose to pray, rather than despair.
Choose to smile, rather than frown.
Choose to persevere, rather than quit.
Choose to heal, rather than wound.
Choose to act, rather than delay.
Choose to forgive, rather than curse.
Each day brings a new opportunity to choose.
What kind of choices will we make this Lent?
