Farewell & Welcome
As we say farewell and thanks to Fr. Liam Ó hIcí and wish him well in his new appointment to the Mayfield Parish, we welcome Fr. John McCarthy to our Parish and we hope that he will be very happy in the Parish of Ovens/Farran.
A PRAYER AS WE BEGIN A NEW SCHOOL AND COLLEGE YEAR
Loving God, as we begin this new school and college year, we ask for your help in our learning and our playing, our listening and our friendships, our teaching and our sharing.
Thank you for the refreshment of the holidays, for the people we have met and the places we have been.
Lord, give all students minds that are eager to learn. Give them courage to ask good questions, confidence to take risks, and the discipline to focus and study. May they have quality friendships and safety in and out of the classroom.
We pray for teachers, educators & school administrators as they too begin a new school year & we thank them for their dedication to teaching and leading.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
