FIRST FRIDAY
Holy Communion will be brought to the Sick and Housebound at the usual times on next Friday, 1st December.

“DO THIS IN MEMORY”
There will be a meeting of the First Holy Communion Parents of Scoil na hUamhanna, Ovens on this Wednesday, 29th November at 7.30pm in the Parish Centre, with regard to the “Do This in Memory” Masses of Preparation.
It will be for just one hour.

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING
This Sunday, 26th November is the Feast of Christ the King. It is a Feast which emphasises the true Kingship of Christ and was instituted by Pope Pius X1 in his encyclical “Quas Primas”. The Feast of Christ the King is celebrated on the last Sunday in Ordinary Time and leads into Advent, when the Church anticipates Christ’s second coming.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Ovens Church from 1pm.
The Rosary will be recited every hour on the hour.
Evening Prayer at 5.45pm.
Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament at 6pm.

PARISH ASSEMBLY 2023
The formation of our new Parish Assembly concluded at last Monday’s meeting.
Sincere thanks to all who took part in this formation which was facilitated by Ms. Lorraine Buckley of the Diocesan Mission and Ministry office.
Thanks in a special way to the members who served in our outgoing Assembly for their generosity of time and commitment during the past term & through Covid as well.
We ask God’s blessing on our new assembly and thank them for taking up this new challenge.

As winter approaches, the local Conference of St. Vincent de Paul would like to hear from anyone who might need help with food, fuel, clothing, education costs or are just struggling to make ends meet in these difficult times. Or you may just be lonely and would like us to visit.

MISSION APPEAL THANK YOU
Sr. Bríd of The Little Sisters of the Assumption, Blackpool, Cork would like to express her sincere gratitude to the Parishioners of Ovens/Farran for their very generous donations to her Mission Appeal last weekend.
A total of €2,450 was raised.

OVENS/FARRAN PARISH ASSEMBLY
Annual Toy Collection in Aid of Edel House, next weekend, 2nd/3rd December
New Toys are very much appreciated, as are new pyjamas for children or ladies.
Toys etc can be left in the Parish Centre on Friday next, 1st December from 1.30pm to 3pm, or after the 7pm & 11.30am Ovens Masses on Saturday/Sunday 2nd/3rd December.
The toy collection will also take place in Farran next weekend at the 9.30am Mass. Toys may be left at the Church before or after the Mass.
