A time of thanksgiving for the many involved in Ministry in our parish.

“The Servant Girl at Emmaus”

The girl serving at the table recognised Jesus before the two Disciples did.
“She listens, listens carefully holding her breath. Surely that voice is His, the one who had looked at her across the crowd, as no one had ever looked?
Had seen her? Had spoken as if to her?
Surely those hands were His, taking the platter of bread from her just now?
Hands he’d laid on the dying and made them well? Surely that face?
The man they’d crucified for blasphemy.
The man whose body disappeared from the tomb.
The man it was rumoured now some women had seen this morning, alive?
Those who had brought this stranger home to their table don’t recognise yet with whom they sit. But she in the kitchen, absently touching the wine jug she is to take in, a young servant intently listening swings around and sees the light around Him and is sure”.

Rosary Talk in the Basilica at 1pm
Stations of the Cross outside at 2pm, followed by the Rosary Procession.
Concelebrated Mass & Anointing of the Sick at 3pm. Confessions all day.
CHILDMINDER REQUIRED
