SCRIPTURE REFLECTION FOR THE WEEK
Act on Inspiration

It’s not inspiring books or presentations that change people’s lives, they simply act as a catalyst. It is what you choose to believe and act upon, that’s where the change comes.
No one can change the life of any individual except that individual.

BLESSING OF YOUNG PEOPLE

Rang 6 young people in Scoil Mhuire Farran & Scoil na hUamhanna, Ovens completed their Primary School Education on Thursday last.
We pray for them through this Prayer:

BLESSING OF YOUNG PEOPLE AS THEY LEAVE PRIMARY SCHOOL.
We give thanks to God for the gift that you have been to our school community.
May you treasure your gifts and talents and use them well for your own good and the good of all whom you meet.
May you know God’s great love for you and always believe and trust that He has a great plan for you.
May you always treasure the gift of faith and continue to grow in friendship with Jesus.
May God bless you as you set out on the next part of your journey in life.
We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.

PRAYER ON PASSING A GRAVEYARD
May perpetual light shine upon the faces of all who rest here.
May the lives they lived unfold further in spirit.
May all their past travail find ease in the kindness of clay.
May the remembering earth mind every memory they brought.
May the rains from the heavens fall gently upon them.
May the wildflowers & grasses whisper their wishes into light.
May we reverence the village of presence in the stillness of this silent field.
John O’Donoghue.

OVENS SACRISTY
Efforts to fill the position of part time Sacristan in Ovens Church have been unsuccessful.
It now hoped to form a group that would do so on a voluntary basis, with persons taking a different day or week, whichever may suit.
Anyone who would be willing to do so please contact Fr. Liam by this Tuesday, 25th June.
