MOTHER’S DAY
This Sunday, 27th March is Mother’s Day. It is held each year on the 4th Sunday of the Lenten Season, 3 weeks before Easter Sunday.
We wish all Mothers & Grandmothers a very happy Mother’s Day. We remember and pray for all Mothers who are no longer with us.
A MOTHER’S PRAYER FOR A SON OR DAUGHTER, ANY AGE.
Even though we don’t always see things eye to eye, I hope you always remember how much I care about you, as your words and actions have proven how you care about me too.
And even though it sometimes seems as if we’re out of touch and don’t always understand each other, the bond between us runs much deeper, the love between us finds a way to understand what the eyes and ears cannot.
Anon.
PRAYING THE PSALMS
PSALM NO. 148
Let us praise the name of the Lord, who alone is exalted.
The splendour of God’s name reaches beyond Heaven and Earth.
Time in the evening connected with the Earth, roots us in reality, relieves us from anxieties, self-centredness, self-importance, seeing ourselves as part of creation.
MATT TALBOT NOVENA
On this Monday, 28th March at 7.30pm in Togher Church, Bishop Fintan Gavin is Celebrant and Preacher.
It can be viewed on:
www.churchservices.tv/togher
Petitions can be placed in the box at the Shrine of Matt Talbot in Togher Church.
SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR UKRAINE
The Irish Bishops have asked for a Special Collection to be taken up at Masses this weekend, to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and especially the families and children who have had to flee their homeland in advance of the Russian invasion.
The proceeds of this Special Collection will be directed to Caritas Internationalis, which is the helping hand of the Church on the ground in the Ukraine and the surrounding region.
The baskets for this collection will be on the tables at the doors in each Church, next to the Offertory Collection boxes.
Please be as generous as you can.
Thank you.

As Summer return across the land and sparkles on the sea,
